TERRAIN
AND MAP:
Typical south-east-estonian
terrain. Flat parts varying with undulate areas with the height
differences of 10-15 m. Some areas are with many small contour
features. Maximum height difference on map 25 m. Terrain is mostly
dry, but in some areas with many small marshes. Runnability from
medium to very good. Network of paths and roads is rather dense.
Forest covered areas make up 80% of the terrain.
Classic distance map is renewed Madala map (see previous map, EOL nr.9020, http://www.orienteerumine.ee/kaart/kaartshow.php?Kood=9020), to which 3,5 km² of newly mapped terrain is added.
Middle distance map – southern part of Pikakannu map (EOL nr. 2005061, see http://www.orienteerumine.ee/kaart/kaartshow.php?Kood=2005061).

COMPETITION
CENTRE AND ACCESS ROUTE:
Competition centre is situated at Pikakannu Basic School. Route
marking begins from Võru-Obinitsa road, 3 km after passing
Lasva village.

SI-numbers must be registered together with entry. SI-cards can be
borrowed from organisers at additional fee 20.-EEK/day.

PRIZES:
There
will be prizes for winners of first day and for best runners in each
class according to summary result over two days. Number of prizes in
each class depends on the number of competitors. Information about
number of prizes per class will be available on information stand.
